Bodhi means “awake” and citta means “heart-mind.” Bodhicitta is a longing,
a yearning, that comes to fortunate people to wake up, and specifically to wake up so they can be of help to other people and to the earth. It’s very common that people want to be free of suffering and go about it in ways that just increase their suffering. But it’s less common for people to want to be free of suffering because they really have a longing to help.
- Pema Chodron -
Everyday, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive,
I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it.
His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama
Plant seeds of happiness, hope, success, and love; it will all come back to you in abundance. This is the law of nature.
Grow old along with me – The best is yet to be.
There is more to life than increasing its speed.
At this time, great confusion and suffering exists, because humans cannot simply BE.
Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche
Behold the turtle. He makes Progress only when he sticks his neck out.
Treat people as if they were what they should be and you help them become what they are capable of becoming.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts, we make our world.
When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.
Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
